iXAfrica: East Africa\u2019s First and Largest Hyperscale, AI-Ready Data Center<\/strong><\/p>\n

Based in Nairobi, Kenya, iXAfrica Data Centres<\/strong> is an award-winning, carrier-neutral facility purpose-built to support hyperscale deployments, cloud services, AI workloads, colocation, and interconnectivity. It stands as a critical part of the digital backbone of East Africa.<\/p>\n

Phase 1 of the Nairobi campus\u2014NBOX1 (Nairobi X One)<\/strong>\u2014is now open for business and sits on a 4.3-acre site along Mombasa Road, one of the region\u2019s most important infrastructure corridors, with direct access to all seven subsea cables<\/strong> landing in Kenya.<\/p>\n

Designed for performance and scale, the Nairobi campus has a planned total capacity of 22.5 MW<\/strong>, with a second campus expansion already in the works. Located on 11 acres in Tilisi<\/strong>, just outside Nairobi, the second site will add an additional 53 MW<\/strong>, making iXAfrica the largest data center project in Greater East Africa<\/strong>\u2014serving a regional population of over 300 million people<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The campus is strategically positioned next to major fiber optic routes and resilient power infrastructure, ensuring high availability and energy efficiency. Importantly, more than 90% of Kenya\u2019s electricity is sourced from renewable energy<\/strong>, making iXAfrica\u2019s operations both reliable and low-carbon.<\/p>\n
