Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms and our data-protection notice carefully. They govern your use of Data Hall and the handling of information you provide.
Last updated: August 2026
1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Data Hall marketplace and related services ("Services"). By creating an account, submitting a quote request, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation.
2. The Services
Data Hall is an independent marketplace that helps organisations search, evaluate, and connect with data-center and IT-infrastructure providers. Indicative estimates produced by our Quote Intelligence Engine are for guidance only and do not constitute a binding offer. Final pricing and terms are established directly with providers, with Data Hall's optional assistance.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account, including your name and company. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.
4. Data Protection & Privacy
We take the protection of your personal data seriously and process it in line with applicable data-protection laws, including the principles reflected in the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019.
4.1 What we collect
When you register or submit a quote, we collect information you provide such as your name, company, email, phone number, country, and the requirements of your request. We also collect limited technical data necessary to operate the Services.
4.2 Why we process it & your consent
By accepting these Terms and ticking the consent box at registration or quote submission, you consent to Data Hall storing and processing your information for the following purposes:
- • Processing and responding to your quote and service requests;
- • Connecting you with relevant providers and, where you ask, managing those relationships on your behalf;
- • Future communication about your enquiries, relevant services, and your account;
- • Improving and securing the Services.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time (see 4.5). Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.
4.3 Sharing with providers
To fulfil your request, we may share relevant details of your requirements with selected providers. We share your contact details with a provider only where you ask us to connect you, or where it is necessary to deliver a service you requested.
4.4 Storage & retention
We store your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services and for legitimate business or legal purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data, subject to records we are required to retain.
4.5 Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, port, restrict, or delete your personal data, and to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at sales@datahall.co.ke.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Services, including by submitting false information, attempting to gain unauthorised access, scraping data at scale, or using the Services for unlawful purposes.
6. Indicative Estimates & No Warranty
Estimates are indicative and benchmarked against market reference data. They may vary significantly based on facility availability, negotiated contracts, and provider-specific terms. The Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Data Hall is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the Services, including decisions made on the basis of indicative estimates.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Services or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
